Lightning trout

Back by popular demand—the Lightning Trout. This spoon features a two-tone yellow body where bright amber hues blend seamlessly into pale yellow; contrasted by a distinctive rose colored stripe running down the center. The back of the spoon is splashed with holographic pink glitter that shimmers with a scale-like texture, enhanced by a silver metallic backing to reflect light, creating irresistible flashes that attract a wide variety of fish species….but especially Lightnings. We engineered this spoon to closely mimic the natural coloration of the rare strain of trout that was originally discovered as a genetic mutation in the 1950’s and named it Golden Rainbow or Palomino Trout, (a different species than the California Golden Trout). It was used in breeding programs for stocking lakes and rivers because Lighting trout grow larger and faster than standard trout and are also known to be a tasty delicacy. They are strongly effected by predators because they are not camouflaged like a normal trout, so it is very unlikely to find them in the wild. Lightnings are normally stocked in the “trophy size” range over give them a better chance against predation. These fish tend to prefer smaller offerings, and tend to like light-bright colored lures especially yellow, chartreuse, white, or pink. Elevate your fishing game with a lure that truly stands out.
